This report is a partial answer to DIA
requirement DIA-AP1-63-88, to verify or pin-
point the location of Soviet military garrisons
in Poland and to perform a photo analysis to
determine boundaries of the installations, to
determine function, number and dimensions of
buildings, to estimate troop capacity, and to
identify and describe related training areas and
facilities and ammunition or POL storage.
TALENT photography of- was used
to determine function, number and dimensions
of buildings. KEYHOLE photography of=
reveals no apparent change in fa-
cilities since them coverage except that the
training area and tent camp observed on M
TALENT photography are not present on later
KEYHOLE photography. The installation de-
scribed below is shown in Figure 1.

This rail-served installation located on
the southern edge of Wrzesnia covers approxi-
mately 18 acres and contains:
9 two-story barracks, one 90 by 35, one
65 by 40, one 65 by 30, four 55 by 35,
and two 45 by 35 feet
1 one-story barracks 120 by 35 feet, a
total for the ten barracks of 41,300 square
feet of floor space
4 probable barracks of undetermined
dimensions
*Troop capacity is computed on a basis of 50 square feet
of billet space per man.
2 three-story E-shaped administration
buildings, each with a 150-by 35-foot
base, two wings 30 by 25, and one wing
40 by 25 feet
1 two-story U-shaped administration
building with a 45-by 35-foot base and
two wings 35 by 25 feet
1 one-story administration building 45 by
35 feet, a total for the four adminis-
tration buildings of 54,725 square feet
of floor space
4 one-story vehicle sheds, 100 by 25, 90
by 25, 85 by 25, and 55 by 35 feet, a
total for the four vehicle sheds of 8,800
square feet of floor space
7 one-story storage buildings, one 100 by
45, one 65 by 25, two 50 by 25, one 40
by 35, and two 35 by 25 feet
1 one-story L-shaped storage building, the
base 50 by 25 and the wing 45 by 45 feet,
a total for the eight storage buildings of
15,050 square feet of floor space
1 one-story support building 65 by 25 feet,
a total of 1,625 square feet of floor space
several small buildings of undetermined
function and dimensions.
No associated training areas, training fac-
ilities, or POL storage are observed.
Ammunitio1 Storage
A secured, road-served ammunition storage
area located approximately 0.5 miles south of
the barracks area covering 1.5 acres contains
one probably semirevetted building 35 by 25
feet.
