TOP SECRET Approved Fb$Wlea5cf20U?108/2T'`.qI`A'1~DP7$Wb4560A001200010041-0 NPIC/R-313/63 TAMASI ARMY BARRACKS NO 1 This report is a partial answer to DIA re- quirement DIAXX 63-84, to verify the location of selected military installations in Hungary, and to perform a photo analysis of these installations to determine function, number and dimensions of buildings, to estimate troop capacity, to iden- tify and describe related training areas and fa- cilities, and to confirm or negate ammunition and POL storage. This report covers a specific military installation in the Tamasi area. TALENT photography of was used 25X1 D to determine dimensions and functions of build- ings. KEYIIOLE photography o confirmed the information available from TAL- ENT photography and revealed no new construc- tion. The installation described below appears on Figure 1. Coordinates: 46-37-40N 018-15-57E BE No: Troop Capacity: 2,046* This fenced military installation located 0.75 miles southwest of Tamasi covers 39 acres and contains: 5 three-story barracks buildings, 340 by 55, 150 by 25, 110 by 55, 80 by 40, and 80 by 30 feet, a total of 102,300 square feet of floor space 1 one-story administration building, 125 by 80 feet, a total of 10,000 square feet 5 storage buildings ranging from 155 by 70 feet to 80 by 55 feet, a total of 34,755 square feet I revetted ammunition storage building 15 by 15 feet, a total of 225 square feet 3 vehicle sheds ranging from 175 by 40 feet to 160 by 40 feet 14 miscellaneous support buildings ranging from 175 by 40 feet to 25 by 15 feet no observed POL storage or related training facilities. *Troop capacity is computed on a basis of 50 square foot of space per man.
