As a result of this request, the having passes over the area of interest were searched. No additional ICBM launch areas were identified. However, this does not negate the possibility that other ICBM launch areas are deployed in the geographical band searched. The effectiveness of the search of some areas was reduced by photo- graphic limitations of haze, clouds, darkness, snow cover, and poor image quality. A positive result of the search was the initial identification of the Rakvere MRBM Launch Area. The detailed information on this area is presented in NPIC/B-39/61. j/ The photography searched is listed, by World Aeronautical Chart (WAC) area, under References.
