OF MISSION 4024, DATED 20-24 JANUARY 1966.
1. FIFTEEN OF THE 25 KNOWN DEPLOYED ICBM COMPLEXES ARE COV-
ERED ! Y THE PHOTOGRAPHY. ALEYSK, DROVYANAYA, IMENI GASTELLO,
KARTALY, NOVOSIMIRSK, OLOVYANNAYA, OMSK, PERM, PLESETSK, SHADRINSK,
SVOBODNYY, TYUMEN, UZHUR, VERKHNYAYA SALDA, AND YURYA. THE
REMAINING 10 COMPLEXES WERE EITHER CLOUD COVERED OR NOT COVERED.
Z. FIVE OF THE IIIC LAUNCH SITES AT THE UZHUR ICBM COMPLEX
ARE COMPLETE AND THE SILO DOORS ARE IDENTIFIED FOR THE FIRST TIME
AT EACH. SILO DOORS ARE ALSO IDENTIFIED FOR THE FIRST TIME AT
4 IIID LAUNCH SITES IN THE DROVYANAYA ICBM COMPLEX.
3. A TOTAL OF EIGHT MISSILES WITH MEASUREMENTS EQUATING TO
THOSE REPORTED FOR THE SS-7 ICBM MISSILE ARE OBSERVED AT LAUNCH
AREA F AND LAUNCH AREA I, YURYA ICBM COMPLEX.
4. AT THE TYURATAM MISSILE TEST CENTER, LAUNCH COMPLEX G AND
PART OF LAUNCH GROUP L ARE COVERED SY GOOD, SNOW COVERED PHOTO-
GRAPHY. TWO NEW SINGLE SILO SITES OF AN UNDETERMINED TYPE ARE
UNDER CONSTRUCTION IN THE VICINITY OF LAUNCH GROUP L.
5. THE KAPUSTIN YAR/VLADIMIROVKA AND EMBA MISSILE TEST CENTERS
ARE CLOUD COVERED.
6. AT THE ANTIPINSKOYE SAM ACTIVITY THE FOLLOWING SA-2 SAM
EQUIPMENT IS OBSERVED: 2 FANSONG RADARS, 12 VANS, 12 SCORPION
LAUNCHERS, 12 TRANSPORTERS WITH PRIME MOVERS, 2 TRANSPORTERS

WITHOUT PRIME MOVERS, 2 TRANSPORTED WITHOUT PRIME MOVERS WITH
CANVAS COVERED MISSILES, APPROXIMATELY 25 MISSILE CANNISTERS AND
12 PROBABLE ROOIE WHEELS. EASED ON THE PRESENCE OF THE ABOVE
EQUIPMENT, NPIC CONSIDERS THIS INSTALLATION TO BE A SAM TRAINING
FACILITY.
7. AIRCRAFT ARE OBSERVED FOR THE FIRST TIME AT THE PEI-TUN
AND YUN-NAN-I AIRFIELDS, CHINA. AT PEI-TUN AIRFIELD (2527N-10043E)
AIRCRAFT INCLUDE: 2 BEAGLE, 20 FAGOT/FRESCO, 8 PROBABLE FEATHER
AND 7 MAX/MOOSE. THIRTY TRUCKS ARE PARKED IN THE SUPPORT AREA.
AT YUN-NAN-I AIRFIELD (2525N-10042E), LOCATED 2.2 NAUTICAL
MILES SOUTHWEST OF PEI-TUN AIRFIELD, THE FOLLOWING AIRCRAFT ARE
OBSERVED: 5 CRATE, 14 CAa, AND 43 FAGOT/FRESCO. AT THE VILLAGE
OF YUN-NAN-I A 14-TRUCK CONVOY IS OBSERVED MOVING IN THE DIRECTION
OF THE AIRFIELD.
