FOR DI, BRASS KNOB, DOCR, DM 4, DIM, SAC HQS, OMAHA. FROM NATIONAL
PHOTOGRAPHIC INTERPRETATION CENTER.
1. CAMERA B 11 WAS USED IN MISSION 3657 FLOWN ON 8 JULY 1963;
PROCESSING WAS ACCOMPLISHED BY NAVY PIC.
2. ORIGINAL NEGATIVE:
A. THE NEGATIVE RECEIVED THE PROPER EXPOSURE AND THE
RESOLUTION IS GOOD.
B. 9R SIDE: THERE ARE PROCESSING STREAKS AND WATER SPOTS
INTERMITTENTLY THROUGHOUT THIS SIDE. THERE IS A BASE SCRATCH
AND AN ASSOCIATED MINUS DENSITY LINE 0.7" FROM THE OUTBOARD EDGE
THROUGHOUT THE MISSION. IT APPEARS TO BE CAMERA INDUCED. BASE
RUBS ARE RECURRENT THROUGH THE ENTIRE SIDE AND ARE MOST NOTICE-
ABLE DURING THE EARLY PART OF THE MISSION. THERE IS A 0.75"
REPAIRED TEAR IN FRAME 267 AND CREASES IN FRAMES 1244 THROUGH
Declassification Review by NGA/DoD

1251. THE INBOARD EDGE OF FRAMES 751 THROUGH 798 WAS LACQUERED
ON THE EMULSION SIDE. THERE IS A FINE SCRATCH LOCATED 0.8"
FROM THE INBOARD EDGE ON THE EMULSION SIDE IN FRAMES 1720 THROUGH
1729. THE 3L POSITION INDICATOR LAMP OPERATED INTERMITTENTLY
THROUGHOUT THE MISSION.
C. 9L SIDE: THIS SIDE OF THE MISSION CONTAINS A WIDE
VARIETY OF MINOR IMPERFECTIONS BUT IT MUST BE UNDERSTOOD THAT
THE FAULTS AS DESCRIBED IN FOLLOWING SENTENCES ARE ALL OF MINOR
CONSEQUENCE TO THE END RESULT. ROLLER CHATTER IS INTERMITTENT
FRAOM BEGINNING TO END. A PLUS DENSITY BAND 2.0" WIDE ALONG THE
INBOARD EDGE IS PRESENT THROUGH APPROXIMATELY THE FIRST 300
FRAMES. A WAVERING PLUS DENSITY LINE 2.5" LONG BEGINNING 2.5"
FROM THE INBOARD EDGE OCCURS EACH 2.75" ON THE FIRST 929 FRAMES.
THIS APPARENTLY IS PROCESSOR INDUCED. A PAIR OF PLUS DENSITY
STREAKS 0.2" APART AND PARALLEL TO THE FILM EDGES ARE CONTINOUS
THROUGHOUT THE MISSION. THE FIRST LINE IS 3.5" FROM THE OUTBOARD
EDGE AND THE SECOND LINE IS 3.7" FROM THE SAME EDGE. A PAIR
OF PLUS DENSITY STREAKS EXACTLY THE SAME AS THOSE DESCRIBED ABOVE,
BUT MEASURED FROM THE OUTBOARD EDGE, BEGIN ON FRAME 250 AND
CONTINUE THROUGH FRAME 1537. A SERIES OF SEVERAL MINUS DENSITY
DOTS BEGIN ON FRAME 1 AND BECOME PROGRESSIVELY LESS PRONOUNCED
AND DISAPPEAR TOWARD THE END OF THE MISSION. THERE ARE EIGHT
SEPARATE AND INDIVIDUAL DOT PATTERNS. ALL OF THE MINUS DENSITY
DOTS DISAPPEAR BY FRAME 128 WITH THE EXCEPTION OF A ROW 2.0"

AND ANOTHER 2.2" FROM THE INBOARD EDGE. THESE TWO DOTS OCCUR
EACH 1.55" THROUGHOUT THE MISSION. THERE IS SLIGHT EDGE STATIC
ON BOTH SIDES OF THE FILM, FROM HEAD TO TAIL. BEGINNING ON EX-
POSURE 254 AND CONTINUING THROUGH XPOSURE 1450 THERE IS A ROW
OF IRREGULARLY SPACED PLUS DENSITY DOTS, 0.1" IN DIAMETER AND
2.25" FROM THE OUTBOARD EDGE. ANOTHER PATTERN WITH THE SAME
CHARACTERISTICS BUT 2.65" FROM THE OUTBOARD EDGE BEGINS ON
FRAME 268 AND ALSO CONTINUES THROUGH APPROXIMATELY EXPOSURE
1450. THERE AR SEVERAL PINHOLES AND EMULSION BLISTERS ON FRAMES
2438 THROUGH FRAME 2445. THERE ARE MINOR PROCESSING STREAKS
THROUGHOUT THE MISSION.
D. PROCESSING PROBLEMS WERE, FOR THE MOST PART, MINOR
AND WERE CORRECTED BY THE END OF THE MISSION.
2. POSITIVE:
A. PI SUITABILITY IS NOT SERIOUSLY AFFECTED BY THE FOREGOING
DISCREPANCIES AND IS RATED AS GOOD. NO PRINTING OR PROCESSING
PROBLEMS WERE ENCOUNTERED.
B. CLOUDS OBSCURE OR DEGRADE APPROXIMATELY 10 PERCENT
OF THE MISSION.
