1. A NEW TYPE OF SEARCH RADAR HAS BEEN IDENTIFIED IN A RADAR
EQUIPMENT ASSEMBLY YARD IN NANKING, CHINA,
THE ASSEMBLY YARD IS LOCATED JUST EAST OF
THE NAN CHING ARMY SUPPLY DEPOT HSUAN WU HU NORTHWEST (BE NO
WITHIN THE CITY LIMITS OF NANKING.

40 VANS, AND 25 PRIME MOVERS. APPROXIMATELY 70 CRATES,

2. THE RADAR CONSISTS OF A TRAILER BASE WITH TWO OUTRIGGERS
AND A HEAVY, DENSE PROBABLE MATTRESS-TYPE SAIL WITH PRELIMINARY
MEASUREMENTS OF APPROXIMATELY 20 FEET WIDE BY 35 FEET HIGH. THE
TRAILER BASE RESEMBLES THE BASE UTILIZED BY THE SCR-270A RADAR.
THE SAIL DOES NOT RESEMBLE ANY PREVIOUSLY KNOWN MATTRESS-TYPE SAILS.
THE RADAR WAS PROBABLY BEING CHECKED OUT SINCE THE SAIL WAS
ROTATING AT TIME OF PHOTOGRAPHY.
3. OTHER EQUIPMENT IN THE YARD INCLUDED 15 TRAILER BASES,
ARE SCATTERED IN THE YARD.
