A
Projects
construction consists of an underground bunkered area. Help was
requested in the following areas:
a. Air Conditioning. Assistance was given in the local
procurement of components for a complete system which tonnage and
type of system was designated by a , 25X1
in Saigon. Contact was made with a local A/C
manufacturing company and specifications presented for the system
components. The product will be locally manufactured to Trane stan-
dards using Coplamatic compressors and Japanese, Chinese, and U.S.
controls. The factory was visited and conversations held with the
factory engineers and designers. The product being produced appears
to be first class. A schematic and operation plan and control
drawing will be furnished. Delivery is expected to take three weeks.
System will consist of four six ton package units and one thirty
ton air cooled condenser, which will be supplied with two spare
motors and fans. It was requested that construction drawings and
bill of materials be forwarded for review.
b. Water System. The water system that has been installed
at Project does not provide for sufficient pressure to

operate the flush valves. The-was requested to design a AX

pressure system to correct this deficiency. A design and a bill of
materials was furnished for a pressure system and an automatic
chlorinating system. Cost of locally procured materials is approxi-
mately $2,000 (U.S.). A complete package will be procured locally
and air lifted to Vietnam.
