I had a call from advising us that he is going on
leave until Monday, 11 July. He wanted to bring two (2) items to your
attention:
1. raised with him the matter of nominations STATINTL
for the Senior Officer Schools and how the requirement for
nominations in August interferes with the normal DDP manning
pattern. John s~i`d that normally, DDP personnel assignments
and rotations are planned in Octoberm John understood the
reason .for early nominations stemmed from .the scnools' require-
ent of from 10 months to a year approved student roster, but
would like this reiterated for Gerry's benefit.
2. Gerry questioned whether DDP rotations to OTR could not
be handled in the present DDP framework (i, e. , during October)
rather than during the spring?
