MEMORANDUM FOR: Deputy Director of Central Intelligence
SUBJECT: Approval of Training Requests
1. This memorandum submits a recommendation for your approval.
Such recommendation is contained in paragraph 4.
2. The ClA Training Selection Board has reviewed the attached
training requests for full time academic study at the University noted
on the training request. Each has the personal endorsement of the
Deputy Director or Assistant Deputy Director of the component concerned.
The Board unanimously concurred in recommending that you approve these
requests.
3. It was noted by the Board that and
have less than two years' service with the Agency. The
Deputy Director for Intelligence considers it appropriate to train

at this time despite their short tenure wit
the Agency. In this, t e oard concurred. The Government Employees
Training Act and our own Agency regulations require only one year of
government service to qualify for such training and even this, under
special circumstances, can be waived.
4. l recommend your approval of the following requests for attend-
