SUBJECT: Weekly Activities Report

1. Prospects, at this stage, for a full July 1971 Career Training
Class of 25 are excellent. Entrance on duty dates have already been set
for five external candidates; and, recent CTP Staff interviews indicate
that seven to ten additional externals will be selected for the next group.
Approximately 12 internals are also under consideration for the July
class.
20 years of distinguished service as an operations officer, Branch Chief
and Chief of Station. Fortunately, the CTP Staff was able to capitalize
for two years on his broad experience through his selection and place-
ment of some outstanding Career Trainees, who should feel very grate-
ful for Frank's professional attention. The CT's and the Staff will miss
his good judgment, straightforward opinions and valuable counsel.
