Weekly Report of School of Intelligence and World Affairs No. 18, 30 April - 6 May 1971 1. Advanced Intelligence Seminar No. 5 The A.I.S. began _____Jon the evening of 5 May. DDS approval has been obtained to invite wives to the class party on 11 May. Senior officials of the Agency and their wives are also being invited. 2. Cancellation of Project HELPFUL had been scheduled to be the OTR representative at Project HELP U , the DIA orientation program, this week. The program was cancelled because of the student demonstrations. We understand it will be re-scheduled later this month. 3. 1 Starts Work on J.C.S. Papers 25X1A9a 0 met with Mr. Wilbur Hoare, the Chief Historian of the Joint Chiefs of Staff. Tom expects to spend considerable time at the Pentagon doing research on the J.C.S. papers of 1942-47. 4. Briefings a. Three on CIA and NSC (two foreign officials, one US contract). b. Twenty-four students of NSA Cryptologic Course for Supervisors. c. Eighteen TSD wives. d. Six students in AID Orientation. e. Twenty businessmen in Civil Defense Seminar, Chambersburg, Pennsylvania.
