SUBJECT : Weekly Activities Report
17- 21 May 1971
GENERAL
1. We have video taped approximately 50% of the first week of the COS
Seminar for future tutorial use, omitting those cases where the speaker was
reluctant to be televised or where a face-to-face briefing of an outgoing COS
would be more desirable. These tapes will be held under my strict control
and will not be used without my approval.

in-house training program.
STAFF TRAINING BRANCH
4. On 19 May made
a half-day presentation on "Clandestine Operations" to eight students in the
IWA course, at their request. The film "Ring of Treason" was used as a
vehicle for discussion of Soviet Illegals, and as an introduction to some of
the basic principles of clandestine operations. The students demonstrated
considerable interest and recommended that such coverage be provided in
future IWA courses.
