SUBJECT : Establishment of a Support School in the
Office of Training
1. I have given considerable thought to our discussion of II January and
your memorandum of 10 January 1966 concerning the establishment of a Support
School in the Office of Training. The proposal appears soundly conceived and
I share your view that It ought to prove a desirable and feasible move.
2. Since, as your memorandum indicates, the establishment of a Support
ould require no present increase in OTR funds, ceiling, or staffing
plernent, I see no impediment to your moving ahead immediately to for-
proposal and submit it for approval under the provisions of -
embers of my Staff can assist you In any way with respect to the formal
proposal, please let me know.
