SIGNIFICANT ITEMS None to report. B. OTHER ACTIVITIES 1, As of 15 January 1965 there were still 107 students attending class in the VLTP. This represents 51% of the 198 who began the semester. In Spanish there are only 24 students left out of 63 who began. One Spanish 101 class (2) was discontinued on 15 January and a German 101 class (3) will be discontinued on 29. January, This leaves two Spanish (101) classes out of the original 4 (101) to finish the semester. 2, A basic full-time Italian course with three students from LE'started this week. The course will last six full months 25X1A and our chief Italian instructor, is well prepared with a new basic program. 25X1A- 25X1A 4. , TO/EE Division, has requested full-time Polish training for one officer. This requirement comes just in time since the Office of Communications has just pulled out its full-time student of that language, due to change of assign- 25X1A ment. our newly recruited native Polish tutor who started with us only two months ago, is doing a thoroughly professional job as drill instructor and we are pleased that she will be able to continue with us.
