A. SIGNIFICANT ITEMS
None to report.
B. OTHER ACTIVITIES
1. Spanish testing at Headquarters is proceeding
and will be completed on Monday. .The full report will
be made next week.
25X1A 2. ~ spent an hour this week with 25X1A
25X1A of the ~ desk discussing a Spanish reading25X1A
25X1A course which has asked her to
teach. The course will be given at Headquarters on
company time, one hour a day, to between 12 and 15
25X1A people from the desk. The role of the Language
School is simply to advise on teaching methods to the
instructor and to furnish materials.
3. The final Voluntary Language Program (VLTP)
faculty meeting was held on Thursday, 5 August.
At the end of the eighteenth week of the
20-week semester there are 68 students left in 12
classes in the VLTP. This represents 56/ of those
who began in March.
4. A German 103 class ended on 1 July with 4
students. A Russian 102 class ended on 16 July with
UOCUt+AENT NUJ. ,~,?.

3 students. All students in these 2 classes took
the Agency Proficiency Test and all scored Elementary
or higher in Pronunciation, Speaking and Understanding.
Four more classes are scheduled for Proficiency Tests
the week of 9 August.
