QPTIONAL FORM NO. 10 5010-104 Approved For ReI se 2002/0 IA-RDP78-06096A00~e300050005-9 UNITED STATES GOVERNMENT Memorandum To : Acting Director of Training DATE:3 December 1965 FROM : Acting Chief, Language Training School SUBJECT: Weekly Activities Report No. 38 A. SIGNIFICANT ITEMS None to report. B.. OTHER ACTIVITIES 1. attended a demonstration at the Defense Language Institute, East Coast of a Russian stenotype machine developed by ASA and being taught now at DLI (WC) in conjunction with the regular Russian-language course. 2. Two classes in Vietnamese were started this STATSPEC week: a part-time course for one man and a full-time course for a CT who is being transferred to DDP/FE. 3. Arlington Towers police have asked us to cancel all student parking permits by 6 December and to discon- tinue issuing new ones except to the faculty. This action was caused by their loss of 3 parking lots. FSI and MAI have lost their student parking privileges and it is logical that we lose ours. We only hope that no further cuts in parking will be made. 4. Special out-of-hours classes for WE and FE are now in progress in French and Japanese. An Italian class will begin 7 December, and plans are in progress for additional groups after the first of January. p0C+UMEt9T Nd. tsO CHAN( IN CLASS- C. r 1DECLASSIFIED S CLASS. .
