I. Meeting #41 of the Research, Development and Production Review
Board was held in the OC Conference Room at 1400 on 2 February
1955. The f"olloving persona were in attendance:

II. Under Agenda Item I, Old Business:
1. The minutes of Meeting !~4O were approved.
2. Report of Significant Changes in Projects" Status.
OC-13 The modified version of the
ACTION and tests were mde to determine the
ma;,nitude of the crystal current and the power output under various
operational conditions. The results indicate that the crystal
current is excessive and is considered unacceptable for type FT-2143
crystals. The Laboratory will modify this set as they did the
earlier version in an attes.-pt to bring the crystal current within
satisfactory limits .
2-consultant frar., the Contractor, one on the Base Station
equipanent and one on the field units, have been working with R&D
personnel for the last two weeks. The Base Station eequi. i ent has
been coxrpletel;;y checked out and is in .satisfactory operating condi-
tion. The field units are still. being modified in order to obtain
full rated power output. It is now expected that the field tests
will corsmen ce appr oxinately 15 February and as soon as this is
finalized, schedules will be made available.
voice Secrecy Equipment: Following an inspection of the progress
on his project by NN A and Agency personnel, a conference was held
at NSA. It was the opinion of the TISA representatives that the
project should be continued as they felt there was a chance of get-
ting some useful equipment out of this program. Accordingly, the

contract has been extended for approximately three months and an
additional $30,000 has been made available.
AT-i- Modification: The proposals to supply 100 modified kits
and to modify 12 transmitters to provide continuous duty operation
were opened in Logistics on 27 January. Telephone information
indicates that the low bidder is the with a 25X1
quotation of $7,000.
