SUW : Transfer of GPO-State Printing plant
1. On 7 January 1957 the undersigned met with
Messrs. Perry and Lewis of the Bureau of the Budget to
vieew correspondence between this Agenoy and the Govern-
Office and the Joint Committee an Printing
relative to the transfer of the GPO-State Printing Plant
to this Agency. After discussion and review by other
interested Bureau of the Budget officials, it was
mined that the Bureau of the Budget had, no objection
to the transfer, Mr. Perry stated that the transfer
could take place without any formal request to the Bureau
or any formal paper from the Bureau to us. It is further
felt that the transfer of funds for the purchase of equip-
vent should be made in such a manner so as not to involve
a formal request of approval by the Bureau of the Budget.
2. of the Office of Logistics was
notified of this action. stated that they
would proceed to effect the transfer by 13 January 1957.
