The tentative apportionment by CAL of funds for NEA Division, as in Schedule 2 and Schedule 3 of the attachments to the referenced memorandum, is satisfactory. 2. NEA Division personnel figures shown in Tab B of the attach- ments to the referenced memorandum are regarded as desirable levels of attainment. 25X1 A 3. For acquisition of _ facilities for which obligating action can be taken prior to 30 June 1952, NEA Division reserves $94,700. A reserve of $18 730 is required for obligating action on 25X1 A facilities other than prior to 30 June 1952. An outline of information requested for each projected facility is attached. 4. The estimated uncommitted remainder of funds other than 25X1A apportioned to NEA Division for material and facilities is 15,,000,000. The necessity for programming remaining FY 1952 funds for material has been correlated with the estimates of operational material requirements, other than for the Cold War country plans. Present estimates of requirements, phased according to need, are given on attached Logistic Division forms. These requirements are consolidated by operational annexes within each country plan. It is anticipated that procurement will be initiated for delive r of the listed material at the appropriate time.
