1. Attached dispatch, dated 26 July 1950, requests post approval 25X1A6a
of an operational apartment as was necessary to consuimnate the lease im-
mediately to insure possession." It must be assumed that the officer in charge
had under consideration acquisition of this or a similar piece of property as
it is not conceivable that this was a spur of the moment action. Therefore,
approval is suspended pending receipt of further explanation to justify his
action prior to headquarters' approval.

Does a CIA employee reside in this apartment?
If so,, have arrangements been made to alter alloviances?

station authorities with respect to procurement matters.
