1. This Office has reviewed the attached proposed project
submitted by the General Services Office in the amount of
N?387,OIi1.29 for the renovation and alteration of
This space, totaling 38,187 square feet will be use y ec nica
Services Sta-"f now located in Quarters I.
2. Although approval is being requested for funds in the
amount of $387,041.29, only $372,041.29 will be charged to fiscal
year 1954 in view of the prior obligations in fiscal year 1953
for reimbursement to Public Building Service, GSA for engineering
fees in connection with the renovation and alterations of the
subject building.
3. It has been stated by the General Services Office and the
Technical Services Staff that they could absorb from funds avail-
able to their respective offices an amount of $297,041.29 leaving
?75,000 to be withdrawn from the Director's reserve fund.
4. Reference is made to paragraph 9b(4) of the subject pro-
ject which rroposes that $75,000 be withdrawn from the Director's
reserve fund. Due to recent adjustments of fund requirements in
the Training Office for fiscal year 1954, the .75,000 can be with-
drawn from this office and transferred to the Office of General
Services instead of the proposed withdrawal from the Director's
reserve.
