1. Reference Project Into. 012-21-49., project title: Proof
Press--~~IS Program, approved by the Director, CIA on 30 Novem-
ber 1948 in the amount of 130,000,
2. The original estimate in this amount was furnished by
the Government Printing Office and it was their opinion that the
cost would not exceed that amount. However, as a result of adver-
tising for bids the lowest bid received from the 25X1A
was in the amount
of , } ., less 3 O discount for payment within 10 calendar days,
or a net cost of ?31,l76.
3. The approvals of the Chairman, Projects Review Co _ ittee
and the Director, CIA are requested to expend an additional sum
in the amount of 1,176.

MEMO FOR THE DIRECTOR: 3 Januar f 1949
The amount of $30,000, approved for expenditure under Project
0RF,-21-49, has been taken from the Fiscal Year 194.9 funds allocated
for printing and binding. It is recommended that an additional
amount of $1176 for this project be approved subject to funds being
charged against the same allocation. The available balance of Fiscal
Year 1949 printing and binding funds are adequate to',gover this charge.
