From the Executive Committee of the National Lien Viet Front
respectfully to Mr. Ung Van Khiem in care of the South Vietnam Lien
Viet Committees
"Following the sessions of the National Congress charged with
consolidating the Viet Minh and the Lien Viet, the Executive Com-
mittee of the National Lien Viet Front received a message from the-
South Vietnam Lien Viet Committee proposing your participation in
the National Lien Viet Committee.
The Executive Committee of the National Lien Viet Front,
relying upon the peoples confidence in you and the esteem in which
you are held, decided at the May 10 and 11, 1951 sessions of,the
Executive Committee to approve the above proposal. Following that
decision the Executive Committee made a surrey of opinions and found
the proposal unanimously welcomed by all the delegates who attended
the sessions of the National Congress in March 1951. We also con-
sulted President Ho and he gladly expressed his approval.
"Consequently, on behalf of the National Lien Viet Committee
ana of the delegates of the National. Congress, we respentfully invite
you to participate in the Committee which will lead the National.
Front in such a.manner.as to hasten realization of President Hole
policy of national unity, to accelerate the campaign of national
resistance towards final victory and to insure the success of
national construction.
"We sincerely and (earnestly?) hope that you will approve this
decision.
"We present our respectful wishes'_for your continued good hea]th."
