FY 1967 5) We have been informed that these five positions are approved. These include 3 positions: Medical Officer, Psychiatrist, GSM-15 (PS) Medical Officer, GSIvI-14 (CD) Medical Technician, CTS-10 (CD) These are for the Ames Building Medical Facility (ABMF), the new separate selection processing facility shortly to be opened. Such additional per- sonnel are required to open the A:HMF and provide (1) health services support for the Rosslyn area at the same time (2) dependent physical examinations are performed. As explained in 2 below, the additional personnel authorized for FY 1967 are not adequate for conducting all selection activity at the ABMF while the scope of our activities at the Headquarters Diagnostic Center is being expanded. The other two positions are a Psychologist, GS-13 (AES) required to meet increasing requirements of our AES, and an ADP Systems Analyst, GS-13 (SD) to assist in the conversion of our medical records system to a com- puterized operation and -- as directed by the DDS -- to enable the OMS to contribute to the DDS-wide automation effort now being planned by the DDS/SSS. 2. FY 1968 (25) a. In order to permit all of the greatly increased selection pro- cessing to be conducted on an appropriately programmed basis at the ABMF, and at the same time to increase our special efforts at the headquarters building in our program for the conservation of Agency manpower, seven (7) additional professional or medical administrative positions are required: Medical Technician, GS-10 (CD) Medical Technician, G5-9 (CD) Staff Nurse, GS-7 (CD) (2) Assistant Physical Requirements Officer, GS-9 (SD) (2) Clerk, GS-5 (CD) Sanitized - Approved For Release : CIA-RDP78-04787A000100120002-1 Sanitized. - Approved For Release WRDP78-04787A000100120002-1 25X1A b. The great workload increases projected for FY 1968 have direct implications for the processing requirements of our Psychiatric Staff which will at the same time be e me of its special activities such as Three (3) new posi- tions are projected: Psychologist, GS-13 (PS) Social Worker, GS-13 (PS) Psychometrist, GS-9 (PS) 25X1A ti ons f t or he Medical Officers who will direct the regional activities in the Regional Medical Officer Program will be part of the 0MS staffin sci.a.j Lo oe aetermined -- will function better if organizationally part of the Field Support Staff of the OMS. Accordingly, these six positions with provision for an additional secretarial position for the FSS are projected. e. Our Operations Division will require additional clerical support if the joint 0MS-FI Staff program involving the operational exploitation of foreign medical personnel and facilities is to continue to develop. Three (3) new positions are accordingly projected: Secretary, GS-6 (OD Clerk, GS-5 (OD) (2~ f. The over-all administrative burden of the expanded 0MS program will by FY 1968 require the augmentation of our Support Division. Two (2) additional positions are accordingly projected: Administrative Assistant, GS-9 (SD) Clerk, GS-5 (SD) Regional Medical Officers, GSM-15 (FSS) Secretary, GS-7 (FSS) 25X1A c. In each year through FY 1972 personnel increases are projected for our Assessment and Evaluation Staff in order to permit the proper response to the many new requests from the Clandestine Services and Agency management in general for psychological services. In FY 1968 three (3) positions are projected: Psychologist, GS-13 (AES) Psychologist, GS-11 (AES) Clerk, GS -5 (AES ) d. One (1) additional Staff Nurse, GS-7 (CD) is projected for our Clinical Division as our selection activity continues high and as our manpower conservation program is further expanded. b. Three (3) additional positions are projected as follows for our Psychiatric Staff as the special activities mentioned in FY 1968 are further programmed: Administrative Assistant, GS-11 (PS) Secretary, GS-6 (Ps) (2) c. The augmentation projected for the planned growth in our psychological services support (cf FY 1968) is for FY 1969: Psychologist, GS-13 (AES) (2) Clerk-Typist, GS-5 (AES) d. Our Operations Division will require two (2) additional posi- tions as follows in the development of their program for the assessment and development of medical personnel Medical Officer, GSM-15 (OD) 25X1A Secretary, GS-6 (OD) 4+. FY 1970 (5) a. In our Psychiatric Staff in the period FY 1970-1972 we plan to implement a long-desired plan whereby special professional activities of Agency interest that are now conducted on an "as available" basis are properly programmed for pursuit on a continuing basis. Following are projected for this: Medical Officer, Psychiatrist, GSM-15 (PS) Secretary, GS-6 (PS) b. The previously mentioned augmentation of our AES continues: Psychologist, GS-13 (AES) (2) Clerk, GS-5 (AES) 5. FY 1971 (3) a. The planned increment for our AES in FY 1971 is: Psychologist, GS-13 (AES) 6. FY 1972 (3) a. Completing the trend initiated in FY 1970, the following per- sonnel are projected for our PS to satisfy requirements levied by various Agency components, particularly, the Clandestine Services; these requirements are of a continuing nature and can only be properly responded to by additional professional personnel: Anthropologist, GS-12 (PS) Secretary, GS-6 (PS) b. The final increment in our long-range build-up of our AES personnel is: 25X1A 25X1 C Psychologist, GS-13 (AES) 7. FY 1973 (3) These three (3) positions are projected for our Operations Division to resume its phased personnel augmentation of FY 1969, and are required for further development of the project: Medical Officer, GSM-15 (OD) Medical Service Officer, GS-11 (OD) Secretary, GS-6 (OD) ?3. FY 1975 (3) Another three-individual personnel increment similar to the above is again projected for FY 1975. This group, however, is to be devoted to further development of medical support for operational projects and agents (FI): Medical Officer, GSM-15 (OD) Medical Service Officer, GS-11 (OD) Secretary, GS-6 (OD) 9.
