CA-2005 dated April 26, 1971 SUGGESTED DISTRIBUTION ST - 5 POL ECON BF/FS - 5 EA. - 5 EUR. - 5 AF - 5 NEA: - 5 JOINT STATE-AID-USIA MESSAGE Posts are advised that a Transportation Account Code (TAC) number has been assigned by the Defense Transportation System (DTS) to each Government agency utilizing the services of the Military Airlift Command (MAC) for transporting shipments of household goods and personal effects or official supplies and equipment. Each Government agency must show the appropriate TAC number assigned by DTS to that Government. agency when MAC has performed the transpor- tation service.. The Department of State has obtained the TAC number for the following agencies:. Department of State Agency for International Development United States Information Agency On State Department shipments particularly, some posts have not n' furnished the required identifying and accounting data to the Office of Financial Services (FSIFD), as outlined in CA-2005. As a result, FS/FD is unable to identify the consolidated-MAC billings and must refer the bill to the post, which delays payment and creates unnecessary correspondence.
