1. The attached correspondence represents the recommendations of this
division in supplying emergency power at Engineers of this 25X1 A6a
division made a survey of emergency r re
made recommendations to the 25X1 A6a
who used the in preparing this request.
2. The recommendations for emergency power for- do not meet 25X1 A6a
with the approval of this division on the basis of good engineering prac-
tices. It appears that a detailed survey of power Wriats for this
station should be made, as was done in the case of and recom- 25X1 A6a
mendations for emergency power made on the basis o rtance this
station assumes in the event of emergency conditions. On the basis of a
25X1 A very preliminary investigation, it appears that the distribution system of
should be revised to permit the use of a single emergency power
service for the station. This would require a considerable outlay of
funds at the present, but future costs of a double generator installation
as proposed would exceed these funds many times over.
3. The Engineering Division is prepared to undertake the power survey
25X1A for is so desired. To guide such a survey, it would aid
immeasurably to have a statement of importance which would govern the
extent of the system finally engineered.
