Your me andum, same subject, dated 28 January 1958
1. In response to your request in referenced memorandum, I
have reviewed the reasons for the resignation of professional
personnel as-11 and above for the year 1957. During that year, we
lost 4 capable people, one to return to active duty in the Navy and
3 to private industry. This would seem to be a normal, or better,
attrition rate especially for scientific and technical, personnel.
2. 08I personnel do receive occasional offers of positions
from comercial companies but I believe these are made through
friends and acquaintances which is a fairly normal procedure. I
do not believe that specific outside employers are trying to recruit
081 personnel.
