A review of the reasons given by twenty-one departing employees in grades GS-11 through GS-15 during the last four years indicates that eight left due to marriage or family obligations, six to educational institutions, three to private industry, three to other government agencies and one to write. 2. The rate of attrition in their grade range for this Office is 2.9% per year compared to the Agency low of 4.7%. We anticipate the loss of some good employees during any given year and. plan accordingly in our recruitment effort. To date members of my Staff have not expressed concern over the rate of departure from the Agency of promising employees. 3. There are no indications that commercial companies, other agencies or universities are systematically recruiting our people. HUNTINGTON D.
