RIA Civilian Specialist Reserve
1. The Office of Training desires to establish a unit of the CIA
Civilian Specialist Reserve. This unit will be comprised of three dif-
ferent types of specialists required. as augmentation personnel by OTR
in time of emergency or when the expansion of current programs is
authorized. We would like to initiate this pilot unit of the Civilian
Specialist Reserve with ten trainees.
2. The three types of specialists desired by this office are:
Psychologists
rder of Battle specialists (instructors)
(c) Linguistic and Area specialists (instructors)
The group of psychologists must qualify as either clinical, train-
ing evaluation, or research psychologists. The grades for personnel
in this specialty will range from CS-I2 through GS-15. A tentative
selection has been made by the Chief of the Assessment and Evalu-
ation Staff of candidates for this program. At least one of this group
is eligible for a GS-15 position. The A&E Staff is prepared to con-
duct a formal training program of two-weeks duration for this segment
of the unit.
3. The Operations School, looking forward to mobilization train-
Ing requirements,has indicated the need for at least two Order of Battle
instructors. One of the potential candidates for this segment of the
unit is at present As 25X1
such, he would be eligible for a C-13 instructor position In OTR.
The operations School is prepared to provide a supervised on-the-
job training program: for instructors in the Order of battle field.
