1. transferred to the Security Office on 11 May
1953 as a ecu y esearch Specialist, and since that time he has
carried out widespread, independent research as it relates to a
highly classified project. He is retiring at the close of business
30 June 1954.
2. However, since there is a good possibility that his special-
ized qualifications may be of considerable value during the fiscal
year 1955 in connection with it is requested that
approval be granted to carry nim on a consultant contract at $35.00
per day while actually employed. It is anticipated that the maximum
amount of service that would be provided by him during the fiscal
year would be approximately gAdays.
