2. The minutes of the 27 December 1955 meeting of the new Adminis-
tration Career Board were approved as presented.
3. Col. White explained to the Board the necessity for determining
as quickly and effectively as possible certain criteria to be used in
ranking for promotion those within the Administration Career Service.
The Chairman presented in some detail suggested standards for achieving
this ranking. Discussion followed, during which several changes were
proposed. The Board recommended that the suggested criteria, with these
changes, be submitted to the members for further study before the next
Board meeting.
4. Col. White also presented to the Board a brief outline of several
proposed changes of personnel and positions within the Administration Career
Service. After some discussion of the principles and procedures involved,
it was ai.,reed that the basic paper treating of these proposed changes should
be reproduced and submitted to the Board members. Following further study
it will be discussed at the next Board meeting.
5. The promotions introduced at the 27 December 1955 Board meeting
were again presented. Col. White stated that he would handle personally

Mr. be deferred to the next Board meeting. This
wit pr a opportunity for them, as individuals recommended for retention
in the proposed reconstituted Administration Career Service, to be ranked
for promotion in comparison with the other administrative personnel.
6. The Secretary presented the request for extension of tour of duty
25X1A9a for Mr. The Board recommended
that this request be returned to FE Division. If the Division can insure
that the subject will be returned to Headquarters within twelve months of
the termination of his regular tour of duty, the Board will recommend
approval of the request for extension.
7. The meeting adjourned at 1725<
