1. The Federal Employees Compensation Act PVvides for medical and
hospital awe and compensation for disability where an employee of the
United States is injured while in the performance of his duty.

establish in cases of this nature, and there we few cases where recovery
has been allowed for nervous breakdowns or mental disorders claimed to have
resulted from Government employment. Extensive documentation and proof

4. Subject may well be entitled to a disability retirement under the
Civil Service Retirement Act (5 UBC 710). Such claims are handled by the
Civil Service Commission and should be filed within six months of the
employee's separation. The appropriate offices of the Agency should be
consulted before any claim is filed at the Comniasiom.
