Mr. Rodriguez:
Some time ago you asked me to solicit comments from
Training Selection Board members on our participation in
the Educational Program for Federal Officials at Mid-Career
at the Woodrow Wilson School of Public and International
Affairs at Princeton University in response to the attached
invitation.
The poll shows only lukewarm interest on the part of
the Board members, speaking for their Directorates. Some
specific comments are quoted below:
DDM&S (Blake): ". . .courses offered may be of
significant value to certain Agency employees of a real
scholarly bent. Initially, I would suggest we give
priority consideration to nominees from the Intelligence
or Science and Technology Directorates. After we have
a more recent critique from one student, we will be in
a better position to determine if the course should
remain in our external training stable."
DDI (Walsh): Cannot justify from a Directorate point
of view.
DDS&T (Weber): "Does not strike me as being quite as
valuable as the Education for Public Management Program."
(Dr. Weber called me to endorse his less-than-lukewarm
interest.

would preclude DDO participation.
