Reference is made to your letter of September 10, 1952,
concerning the suggestions of the ICIS Subcommittee on E.O. 10290
transmitted in my letter of June 12, 1952, relative to CIA. regulations
for the security of documents classified under-the Executive Order.
I wish to advise you that the provisions in the CIA
regulations which you outline in your letter and the explanation
regarding classification guides conotitute satisfactory answers to the
subcommittee's suggestions.
As indicated in my letter of June 12, 1952, in the subcommittee's
opinion, the CIA regulations are in conformance with the Executive
Order.
