MEMORANDUM FOR: Director of Security
SUBJECT : Office of Security Statistical Report
for SEPTEMBER 1967
1. The attached tables reflect some of the activities of
certain components of the Office of Security during SEPTEMBER
1967.
2. The statistics in the tables are compiled by the component
concerned and refer to the current month.
3. The month of September continued what appeared to be an
early trend. in the reduction of the overall number of pending overt
cases and staff applicant cases. A comparison was made with the
pending figures of September 1966 to that of the reporting period and
it revealed reductions in the pending workload of 10% in overt cases
and 17% in staff applicant cases.
4. Another interesting observation was to note the role of
the Special Activities Division with respect to the. number of support
manhours worked. This Division accounted for 46%a of the overall
total of almost_manhours worked. The past reporting period was
the highest month since the beginning of FY 1967 and was an actual
increase of 33% over that worked in September 1966.
