A field evaluation conducted by the Sponsor deezestrated that the
performance at the unit is generally satiefactacy. In preparation for the
manufacture at several Model 3 units, the Sponsor arranged with a cormercial
fabricator to furnish shop drawings end to build the first production
tkder %la Order No. TT, Work Order No. 9, we furnished technical a6.vieor7
services during such preparations for production. We anticipate further
sindlar activity in ccenectice with the flamicatice and acceptance testing,
of &MUSA:sal unite, and with the preparation of an imstruction newel for
the Nola 3 incinerator.
EXPIDRATORY pliERIKENIS
The miniature-sise incinerator represented such a large step dawn
yard in site as covered to the Nolel 1 incinerator, that it vas doubtful.,
initially, that a alma* scaling down would satiety the requirements 1*14
&eel for a Siodel 3 unit. ConseventV, the first phase of the Task Order
No. CO research program we directed tooard conducting sane rather bread
entploratary everiments in simple equipient, in order to cbtain data for the
design of the major =Talents of a miniature-sise incixeratAxe. Specifically,
data were needed to provide * basis for the design of asmell ccalrustine
dumber and for the selection of a suitable blower, and to give- en early
evaluation of the nature end extent of the fly-ash ed801011.
The initial specification for the quentitq of paper to be burned in
