SUBJECT : Machine Tabulation of Data on
REFERENCE . Memorandum, dated 19 August 1954, to the
DD/A from the Chairman, Inter-Office Tele-
communications Committee; subject as above.
1. Referenced request for five additional T/O positions
and personnel ceiling authorizations has been reviewed. This
Office approves the requested classifications for 4 additional
GS-4 Card Punch Operator positions and 1 GS-4 Tabulating Machine
Operator position, in the Office of Collection and Dissemination.
2. Although it is not clearly indicated in the basic
request, the Executive Officer, OCD, has advised that these addi-
tional positions are to be assigned to the Operations Branch,
Machine Division, Office of Collection and Dissemination rather
than to the Special Register Division, OCD, which is furnishing
machine support on classifiAA Aata of this nro rAW
