l.. Forded herewith are prototypes of the IN-3X, fixed
frequency reference oscillator, and. the IN-U, variable frequency
audio oscillator. The 15-3X %%presents the final prototype for
evaluation prior to fabrication of the complete order. The IN-1X
is an electrical prototype only since certain agreed upx changes
in packaging will be made Vban the unit is returzaed.
2. Although the circuit study of the INr3X has been completed,
further production of this oscillator will Upend on the quality of
the unijunction transistors now on order. The stand-off ratios and
bass resistance characteristics of these transistors have been speci-
fied, in accordance with our sturdy, to insure an accuracy of ? 2%
over the specified temperature range. Reliability checks will be
run on these transistors when received.
3. In regard to the IN-1X# a now layout will be mad* in accord-
ance with our agreeaent. It is for this reason that the present unit
is considered an electrical prototype only. The relocation of some
controls sad battery storage will facilitate a simplified hook-up and
neater yppearance. A certain minims space must be allowed for the
frequency determining capacitors as these will vary according to the
partl=lw unijunetion transistor used.
4. Schematics, parts lists, and a calibration curve are in-
cluded. A few control markings have been made in order to avoid
ambiguity. Please specify all additional marking required.

I. GENERAL DESCRIPTION
The IN-3P provides a Ili ply stable 1000 cycleA one for
rPference ournoses. It is completely transistorized arA.
A high precision tuning fork is used as the frequency de-
termining element. The IN-3 is battery operated by either
~Wi
a dry or mercury cell. An additional plug has been provided
