Studied law, economics, politics and international affairs. 1934 Passed German Bar Examination but was refused promotion to Doctor of Law in Frankfurt after Hitler had come to power. 1936 Promoted to Doctor of Politics by University of Innsbruck. CAREER HIGHLIGHTS. 1934-1938 Travelled and lived in England, France, Austria, Belgium, Holland and Denmark. Produced motion picture shorts and wrote articles against the Hitler Regime. 1938-1941 Eaigrated to the United States. Worked at odd jobs such as Wall Street clerk, assistant to writers and radio commentators; managed news-picture agency doing research in political and military science. 1943-1944 Basic and Specialist training in U. S.
