The contractor by letter dated 24 March 1961 requested additional funds
in excess of the subject task order selling price to complete the work performed
thereunder. As of this date, a reply has not been received to the above request.
The contractor therefore respectfully resubmits its request for additional funds
to complete in the amount of $6,182.
A brief summary of the above request is as follows:

The request for additional funds was necessitated by the fact that labor
costs were approximately doubled from that originally estimated. The contractor
in its original estimate visualized the use of chemical processes to etch the
various antenna elements. This proved unsatisfactory and the elements were
required to be fabricated by a costly hand process. This process increased the
number of hours scheduled for the job by approximately 1007..

The antennas and instruction books required to be delivered under the
subject contract were shipped on or before 8 February 1961. Heavy charges in Jan-
uary 1961 and the contractor's accounting reporting system prevented the contractor
from notifying the buyer of the possible overrun at an earlier date.
It is requested that, when funds are added to the subject task order in
response to the above request, the contract expiration date also be extended to
28 February 1961 to allow charges occurred in February to be billed as allowable
costs.
Favorable consideration of the enclosed quotation is respectfully
requested. Representatives of the contractor will be readily available in the
event further contractual or technical discussion is necessary. In matters per-
