INDONESIAN DELEGATION STUDIES YUGOSLAV ROAD TO SOCIALISM -- Djakarta, Duta Masjarakat, 5 May 60 An Indonesian delegation comprised of Ruslan AMdulgani, the deputy chairman of the Supreme Advisory Council; Arudji; Sudibjo; and Tumakaka left Belgrade on 4 ,May after completing a 2-week visit to Yugoslavia, where they studied that country's "road to socialism." The delegation. donferred with President Tito, Vice-President Kardelj, and the leaders of the Socialist Alliance of Yugoslavia. A joint statement, issued before their departure, said that the two nations faced the same problems in their struggle to strengthen national independence in the direction of economic and social advancement and in the struggle to implement social- ism. Cooperation based on the struggle to achieve peace, and socialism and cooperation based on the friendship existing between the two nations was also discussed. The league was formed in protest to -the formation of the Gotong Rojong Parliament. rThe Gotong Rojong Parliament was appointed by President Sukarno after he dissolved the previous parliament UNITED INDONESIAN WORKERS ORGANIZATION TO BE FORMED -- Djakarta, Merdeka, 2 May 60 The Indonesian government's intention to establish a single mass workers organization was indicated in a remark by Minister of Labor Ahem Erningpradja, carried by the 2 May 1960 issue of the Djakarta Merdeka to the effect that the government will shortly announce certain decisions concerning the formation of a united organization of Indonesian workers. He said that political parties had greatly influenced the development of Indonesian worker organizations, which, in turn, reflected the dif- ferences between the parties. He asset~ted that the Indonesian worker should have one philosophy and one objective of struggle. Other indicators in this consolidation trend by the government have been the unification into one group of all veterans organizations and the call by President Sukarno for all youth organizations to unite. The government has already taken steps to simplify the political party system, and there are indications that the government also intends to simplify the 'system of functional groups, such as the workers, veterans, and youth, all of which are to constitute the new National Front, to be represented In the new Parliament. FNPIB POSITION AFTER INDONESIAN NATIONAL FRONT ORGANIZATION -- Djakarta, Pbs Indonesia, 23 May 60 After the-new National Front is organized, the National Front for the Liberation of West Irian (FNPIh)will come. under the Inspector Gen- eral for Territorial Affairs and People's Defense, according to Captain Mattjik, chief of the Information Service of the FNPIB, which will not be dissolved, but its functions will be "somewhat limited." The various cooperative boards (BKS) affiliated with the FNPIB will also be under the Inspector General. Han Tae-yong is the director of the Commercial and Financial Planning Department of the Central Committee of the Korean Labor Party and Chloe Chang-sok has been serving as Vice-Minister of Public Health. NORTH VIETNAM REGIME TIGHTENS CONTROLS OVER CHILDREN -- Hanoi, Nhan Dan, 15 May 60 The Secretariat of the Lao Dong Party Centr.l Committee, in its directive 197 CT/TU, dated 19 March 1960, plans to establish August Children's Groups [named in honor of the August Revolution] to guide children in their play and practical development. The groups are open to all children, 6 to 9, who wish. to join and have parents' or guardi- ans' permission. CPYRGHT CPYRGHT NORTH KOREAN AID TO NORTH VIETNAM -- Hanoi, Nhan Dan, 19 May 60 on 18 May 1960 ground-breaking ceremonies were held for a large housing project in Hanoi which will be built with North Korean aid. North Korean specialists will help with construction of the buildings. This housing project will be larger than the one going up in the ad- joining Bach Mai Ward, which has four-story buildings with adequate facilities to house 15,000 persons. These dwellings are among the mixers and other mechanized construction equipment. [This is the first report in the press of North Korean aid to North Vietnam]. The faculty was able to achieve this by rejecting the "logic" that a new equation must be deduced from an established equation.
