Subject: Assignment P
Your present tour in ends in July 1967, and we =oust
therefore make plans for your next a.ssig ent. We would like to 25X1
offer you the following choices:
a) Extension of your present tour up to one year
without home leave;
b) Home leave and return to
for a second tour;
c) Reassignment to iieadquarters at the cud of your
present tour (or with a short extension as described below).
Should there be some other assignment for which you would
like to be considered, please let me know,
If you want to return to Headquarters in 1967, it would be
very helpful to FBIS if you would extend to about I September.
This would give the Editorial Division the benefit of your
replacement's services through the greater part of the suer.
You undoubtedly remember our difficult personnel situation during
the suer months in kleadquarters.
Please discuss this ,ratter with your bureau chief so ghat
he may advise me of your decision by teletype; message.
