The attached notification from the Agency Office of reoel informs you that you have met the criteria for designation in the Agency Retirement System and asks you to elect either to remain or not to remain in that System for the balance of your Agency career. If you should elect not to remain in it, you would revert to the regular Civil Service Retirement '))stem under which you have been previously covered. Since you, will have had, thirty years of Federal service at age 60, your retirement would normslly be effective at under either System, but the financial benefits to you would be greater under the Agency System. You will observe that the Agency System also pexffi.ts qualified Pasticipants to apply for voluntary retirement at any time after reaching age 50, but Me do not wish you to do this unless you personally would. .refer to do so. For planning purposes, I would appreciate an early statement of your preference. Please sign and check the appropriate box and return both copies of the enclosed form to headquarters. Sincerely, SECRET
