Project Description: The BC/B-24 is a battery charger which is designed to fully charge the Union Carbide Y5183 or equivalent Sonotone and Eveready 1.25 volt AA size nickel-cadmium batteries from a 90 to 240 V, 50/60 cycle source in 14 to 16 hours. The case is designed to be plugged directly into European or American style wall sockets through the use of reversible plug pins. The case measurements are 3.5 X 1.6 X .87 inches. Project Status: 25X1A5a1 has all parts available except a diode which is used in the c ah r in circuit. Approximately twenty diodes were located at 25X1A5a1 another plant and are being sent in. The diode is unavailable from the usual distributors and efforts are being made to locate an additional eighty. The diode manufacturer is also out of stock but has a'production run scheduled for the first.part of October.
