7. Project Status:
Work Order No. 1 - Modification of fifty CA/A-3A Tape Cartridges -
The contractor is modifying fifty tape cartridges to provide an automatic
rewind capability in the RS-522 system. An initial four were hand-carried
back and forwarded to the R&D Lab for use on a rush delivery of an initial
two RS-522's. Another small quantity of CA-3's will be available about
22 July. This work order should be complete on or before 1 August.
Work Order No. 2 - Repair of RS/L-509 - This unit was delivered
previously under Task Order 1. Recently the KE/C-8 used in the system
malfunctioned. The keyer was removed and is being repaired at 25X1A5a1
It will be replaced into the RS/L-509 when
repaired. This work is expected to be complete about 1 August.
