1. Project Description:
The OS/A-8 and OS/B-100 are digitally tuned oscillators designed to
replace crystals as the frequency determining element in agent transmitters.
Frequency coverage is 2 - 11.99 Mc/s. The OS/A-8 uses a single phase-locked
loop and generates its output in 10 kc/s steps. The OS/B-100 is configured
to mate with the RS-101 transmitter; the output frequency is generated by a
three phase-locked loop mixing scheme and is presented in 1 kc/s steps.

Project Status:
The contractor's request for additional funds has been granted with
the proviso that this contract be converted from CPIF to firm fixed price.
In addition, the contract price will be reduced by $25 per day for each
synthesizer undelivered on 16 September 1966, up to a total of $350 per
unit.
At this meeting the original specifications were reviewed and several
changes agreed to. None of these changes were especially significant;
in general, the changes were an updating of the specification (i.e.,
exact size, change design goals to actual performance values).
One OS/A-8 was delivered on 28 June. The second OS/A-8 will be
delivered on 22 July. Delivery will then be at the rate of two units
per week. The OS/B-100 will be delivered on 22 July.
