The is a modified version of the
AM VHF transceiver. It measures 7" x 51f x 8" and provides 1 watt output
in the 118 - 125 Mc/s band. This modified version contains a waterproof
handset and "tape" antenna.

~'? indicated that the case will be a polycarbonate vice
25X1A5a1 aluminum material. This option was previously discussed with

and is acceptable. By utilizing a polycarbonate case, the
outside length will be cut by 1/2" from that of the R&D Lab's proto-
type. The battery indicator meter will be cemented in place to
insure a better seal. A sample of the canvas carrying case has
been eived from the vendor but does not match our prototype.

new case sample will be ready within a week.
