the AR-18 1+80 wpm triphase receiving equipment as a function of signal-to-
noise ratio and pulse jitter, and to otherwise investigate the performance
of the AR-18 as required.

SUBJECT: Inspection Report No. 2 - AR-18 Study Program with
7. Project Status:
A technical report covering all technical findings to date has been
received. The report demonstrates conclusively that the AR-18 is plagued
with a sufficient number of problems to cause it to be unsuitable for
issue as operational hardware. A second report is anticipated shortly
which will detail results obta.ned ~n an investigation of the recognition
code circuitry of the AR-18.
