1. This meeting was called by the Chairman to explore the future
status and role of COBAT and its relationship to TPIB in the light of
recent and foreseeable developments worldwide.
2. After a considerable discussion of the policy, operational and
technical problems which today exist in the broadcasting and television
fields, it was concluded that there is a need for more positive coordi-
nation,, within the framework of the OCB~ of such activities.
3. The OCB staff representative was requested to draft a staff paper,
after consultation with the individual members of COBAT, TPIB and the Radio
Policy Committee, which would set forth proposals for improving coordination
in the radio and television fields
