Pursuant to instructions contained in the first of the above-,cited circular
tirgrans, the Embassy has discussed with the Foreign Office the matter of *on-
a commAst activities as pro-
vided
now able to report that Mr. k1fredo HUCH(X, Deputy Directorr$, Division of North
Amerioan Affairs, has been designated by the Foreign Office as its liaison
officer for this purpose. The Embassy liaison officer will be Mr. EA. CHI re,
Jr.,, Counselor of Embassy.
On Embassy April 12,, 1956, the liaison officer delivered to Mr. Bach6n
the first eleven pages of the report transmitted with CA-6782 of March 5, 1956,
mad also discussed with him certain local comamist activities which had
